Pratt Community College selects T&D PowerSkills Instructor-led and Client-Hosted LMS courses to support their Electrical Power Lineman Program. Pratt will offer a variety of convenient ways to attend classes through their on campus classroom sessions, distance learning and on the job training. The lineman program will be offered at all three campus locations in Pratt, Coffeyville, and Wichita, Kansas, starting in Fall 2016.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has scheduled an informal stakeholder meeting July 13, 2016, in Washington, D.C. to collect information on hazards in the tree care industry. The agency will use the information to determine the need for a proposed rule to protect workers from fatalities, injuries and hazards in tree care operations.

Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA), an enterprise of the Navajo Nation, selects T&D PowerSkills Hybrid Package: Instructor-led and Learning Management System (LMS), to replace their existing apprenticeship training program. NTUA serves approximately 39,400 electric customers throughout the 27,000 square mile Navajo Nation and employs a workforce of around 619 to meet its multi-utility needs.

Wynnewood Refining Company, LLC, a subsidiary of CVR Refining, LP company, selects T&D PowerSkills Instructor-led courses to train their in-house lineworkers on maintaining powerlines that enter the refining facilities. Wynnewood produces nearly 70,000 barrels of complex crude oil per calendar day and has a storage capacity of 6.4 million barrels.

EEI and IBEW negotiated new compliance dates into OSHA’s timeline for enforcement of its updated standard. Among other areas, electric arc protection and FR clothing compliance dates have changed as outlined in EEI’s Exhibit C: 29 CFR 1910.269 and 29 CFR Part 1926, Subpart V–Enforcement dates.

College Station Utilities, the electric utility service for City of College Station, TX, selects T&D PowerSkills Learning Management System (LMS) to support their existing lineworker training program. CSU provides electrical services to over 38,000 residential and commercial customers in College Station including in and around Texas A&M University.

Longmont Power and Communications (LPC), City of Longmont, Colorado's not-for-profit electric and broadband services utility, selects T&D PowerSkills Instructor-led courses to supplement their existing lineworker training program.

NV Energy, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, selects T&D PowerSkills Hybrid Package: Instructor-led and Learning Management System (LMS), to replace their existing apprenticeship training program. NV Energy is headquartered in Las Vegas, NV and provides a wide range of energy services to 1.4 million customers and nearly 40 million tourists annually. Service area covers approximately 45,592 square miles.

James Power Line Construction, LLC, a contractor based in Boerne, TX, selects T&D PowerSkills Learning Management System (LMS) to support their new lineman apprenticeship program. James PLC specializes in overhead and underground distribution systems and operates in South, Central, and West Texas.

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO), located in Hughesville, MD selects T&D PowerSkills instructor-led courses to support their existing lineman apprenticeship program. SMECO has approximately 160,000 service connections in a span of four counties and continues to be one of the largest operating cooperatives in the nation.

Consumers Energy will be piloting the newly acquired courses for the remainder of 2015 to find out if they will serve their training needs in 2016.

Texas-based Chapman Construction Company is one of the country's leading full-service providers for transmission and substation construction and maintenance for over 65 years.

Entergy, Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) and Oncor Electric Delivery have partnered with T&D PowerSkills and ISPC to create new course updates for 2016.

Kansas City Power and Light (KCPL), an investor-owned utility headquartered in Kansas City, MO, selects T&D PowerSkills High Voltage Substation Package to help supplement their existing apprenticeship program. KCPL serves more than 800,000 customers in about a 18,000 square mile service area.
