Transmission Crew Video Shoot
Our team at T&D PowerSkills, along with the Institute for Safety in Powerline Construction, are braving the August heat this week at CenterPoint Energy, filming a transmission crew for refresher training! We wear a lot of hats around here, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Summer Workbook Orders!
It’s the busiest time of the year in production! Workbook orders from our two largest colleges come in around the same time each summer, and Alecia is always ready! Thanks to Pratt Community College and Dakota County Technical College for training the next generation of lineworkers!

We are looking for speakers for the 2025 Trainers Conference in San Antonio (February 17-21). If you are a leader in the electric utility industry, submit your idea by August 1st using this form. Trainers Conference and Tradeshow 2024 in San Antonio!
After three years in New Orleans, we thought a change of scenery might be nice. We’ve moved the 2024 Trainers Conference and Tradeshow to San Antonio, and we’re ready to discuss safety and training in a Texas-sized way!
Competency is critical in our industry. Advancements in technology and changes in learning styles have created industry-specific challenges, that we as leaders must address. It has never been more important to train with these challenges in mind. Our brand new speaker lineup will tackle these issues and prepare us to meet the demands of tomorrow.

Berkeley Electric Cooperative
We've welcomed another nonprofit cooperative to the T&D PowerSkills user family. We are pleased to be joined by Berkeley Electric Cooperative out of South Carolina. BEC is the largest electric cooperative in SC, serving members in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. They've opted into using our SCORM courses on their system to aid in the training of their lineworkers.

Tacoma Power
Another municipal electric company has opted into the T&D PowerSkills lineworker training program. Welcome, Tacoma Power (Tacoma Public Utilities). They are utilizing the versatility of our training materials, and can use traditional DVDs in a classroom setting, or take the videos anywhere with online streaming! We are proud to work with them in keeping their lineworkers safe, and bettering their community.

Another impressive contractor has joined the T&D PowerSkills LMS user family! Welcome, On Target Utility Services from Maine. They cover multiple disciplines and projects of all sizes and complexities, including transmission and distribution, telecom, and cable. We are excited to welcome a Kansas cooperative, Midwest Energy, Inc. to the T&D PowerSkills family! They've opted to take advantage of most of what T&D PowerSkills has to offer - using all of our units in multiple delivery methods!
